Step inside and take a look around Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.
Gym
Our friendly team will welcome you into our gym with hands on advice and motivation to help you in your training. Our kit includes Technogym cardio kit including treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, rowers and wave machines. resistance machines and large free weights area, functional training zone with battle rope, bulgarian bags, medicine balls and octagon, PRAMA interactive flooring which will test your reactions and fitness levels and Astroturf with weighted sled.
About Our Gyms
Swimming Pools
Our two pools include an Olympic sized swimming pool with a variety of sessions including 25 metre and 50 metre lane swimming. In our leisure pool you can enjoy a more relaxed swim or family swim session with waves, flumes and lazy river to enjoy. We also offer dedicated ladies only sessions and aqua based classes.

We have over 115 fitness classes each week to choose from in our two spacious fitness class studios and dedicated spin studio. Classes include the latest releases from Les Mills favourites BODYATTACK, GRIT, BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT or choose from more traditional classes including Aerobics, Aqua and Yoga.

Court Hire
We’ve a huge range of activities to enjoy in our spacious 10 court sports hall. Enjoy sports such as badminton, five-a-side football, table tennis, basketball and more. Courts are available for casual use or for regular weekly or monthly use block bookings are available.

With our Sheffield lifeCARD you can make savings at Ponds Forge and all SIV venues and take advantage of some great offers throughout the year. Sheffield lifeCARDs are just £3.
All of our facilities and activities are available on a ‘pay & play’ basis; you just need to simply dive in to everything we have to offer. A supplement of £3 for adults and £1.50 for children will be charged to non lifeCARD holders.
Accessibility Information
At Ponds Forge we provide the following facilities to make the centre accessible to everyone:
- Accessible car parking spaces are available on the top floor of the car (free for blue badge holders)
- Lifts are available, with one in reception to the car park and one near the café to the upper and lower levels
- Changing Places toilet/changing area is available on the lower ground floor close to both pool changing areas
- Accessible changing rooms are available in the members area through the turnstile and the leisure pool changing rooms.
- Accessible toilets are available in the sports hall, swimming pool area, member changing area and Competition Pool changing areas
- A seated hoist is available for both pools
- The Leisure Pool has both ladder and gradual step access, both with rails
- The competition pool is deck level with ladder access
